(Gatineau, Canada) • A very cozy and warm café in Hull that serves delicious drinks and has a nice selection of sweets and pastries, and a good selection of healthy options.
Ambiance: The place is deceivingly big inside, L shaped, it has high ceilings, comfortable chairs, artsy decor, a nice display of sweets and food, it’s bright and it has a small patio in the front.
Service: There were several people in front of us and only one barista at that time so naturally it was slow. She was very friendly though, very charismatic, perfectly bilingual and friendly. You order at the counter and they will bring it to your table after.
Cleanliness: The place was full and we were lucky to find an empty table. Customers before us was didn’t clear the table when they left so we had to it ourselves.
Food wait time: It didn’t take as long as I thought considering they were busy.
Food presentation: The croissants looked fresh and the cake appetizing.
Portion: The croissants were slightly bigger than other ones I’ve had at other places, the same with the piece of cake. Our drinks were for sure on the larger side.
Taste: I loved my smoothie! I will order it again and again. I had the strawberry one and it was not too sweet and it didn’t not taste watered down. My croissant, maybe because of the chocolate, was dry, my friend’s was fresh and tasty. My friend really enjoyed her cake and her matcha frappe.
