(Uberlândia, Brazil) • What a wonderful idea to have a churros festival! I went to this one held at the mall Uberlândia Shopping and it was very nice to see many families around having fun and eating these delicious treats.
Ambiance: The festival was held at the parking lot of a mall, it was free to attend and you pay for what you consume. There was a very vibrant vibe as families where there enjoying the music and chatting while kids played around.
Service: Some of the stands were able to deliver their orders very fast others not so much. The lineups were big everywhere.
Cleanliness: Garbage cans were available around the festival but there were still papers and random bottles thrown around on the ground.
Food wait time: I was unlucky with my choice as I was in the line for at least 30 minutes! Workers were so overwhelmed trying to complete all orders. I guess next festival they will hire more people, maybe they were not expecting to be so successful.
Food presentation: The churros we ordered looked wicked! They were gourmet churros and they looked very fancy and delicious.
Portion: Typical churro size but with the toppings, they looked bigger.
Taste: We loved them! I ordered a churro with condensed milk filling and whipped cream and strawberries on top. My sister had a churro with dulce de leche filling and white and dark chocolate cereal on top. Both of them were divine.
Price: On the high side. And they only accepted cash at the stand I went to. It is worth the money but the wait was brutal, I will next time go to the store instead.
