(Ottawa, Canada) • One of the best bakeries in town. Famous pumpkin kronut and raspberry scones. Amazing and my favorite scone here! The place is very spacious and has several tables but there are always people there so it can be hard to find a place to seat. The ordering/paying is a bit chaotic. There is a line for the orders (menu on the board) and one line for just bread, both go on quite fast. You order, pay and then they will bring it to your table.
Ambiance: A very good hip place. It’s bright, spacious, it has an industrial feel with several tables and a patio area in front.
Service: Prompt and efficient. There seems to be always a lineup there but it moves very fast. You order at the counter and they will bring it to your table if you are ordering a meal, or will give you your baked goods over the counter.
Cleanliness: The tables are not cleaned as fast as the customers leave. We saw 3 spots available but they were dirty. People that sat on them were trying to catch the attention of staff to go clean them.
Food wait time: I ended up ordering a kronut and a scone so they just gave them to me over the counter.
Food presentation: They look so delicious! I couldn’t wait to eat them.
Portion: A generous size for each of them.
Taste: My first time trying a pumpkin kronut and I loved it because it’s not very sweet, it was fresh and it had a unique flavour. The raspberry scones became my favorite scones in town ever.
Price: Average. Good value for the money.
