(Wakefield, Canada) • Located at one of the most picturesque places in the Ottawa region, this café is a must-go for those looking for a perfect getaway from the city. Wakefield is one of my favorite villages in Quebec and one I always bring my visitors to since it is gorgeous here.
Ambiance: Charming atmosphere with beautiful views of the river. I was there during the summer and late fall and I loved both times with its unique breathtaking views. The place inside is not very big but is super cozy and inviting.
Service: Excellent service! Very pleasant, friendly and professional staff. We didn’t have a reservation but we got a table right away. Our waitress was fast bringing the menu, taking our orders, clearing our plates and bringing the bills after. She checking in on us when we eating and refilled our glasses without us asking, I always like that!
Cleanliness: Utensils, glasses, table and chairs were clean.
Food wait time: Pretty fast even though the restaurant was full.
Food presentation: Well presented
Portion: The portions were of a fair size, we were all satisfied after.
Taste: I had the grilled cheese and salad. Though the bread was a bit greasy it was delicious and the salad was very tasty. My husband and my friend both had the soup and they liked it a lot.
Price: On the high side. Worth the quality of food and beautiful views of Gatineau river.
