(Ottawa, Canada) • A very unique way to eat your seafood! A must try located in the heart of the Glebe
Ambiance: A nice and vibrant vibe. The place is of a small size with clean decor and a few tables. As it is located near university, there are a lot of university students there and they can be quite loud but yet, creating a happy atmosphere.
Service: We were there early in the evening and we didn’t need to wait long as there was hardly anybody there, later more people arrived with no reservation and they started a lineup. The waiter was fast bringing the menu and the water and explaining the concept of the restaurant to us. He was friendly and attentive checking in on us when we had our food. We had to ask for our glasses of water to be refilled. We had to wait quite a bit for our bill after.
Cleanliness: Our table, utensils, glasses, chairs and were clean.
Food wait time: Our meals didn’t take long at all!
Food presentation: It is not very appealing as the food comes in a plastic bag. You also get gloves and a bib. It does make the eating experience interesting for sure though.
Portion: The bag is big! My husband ordered crawfish and the plate for the shells filled up fast so the portions are quite big, however, according to him, there wasn’t a lot of meat in the shells so he won’t be ordering it again.
Taste: I ordered rice and maybe it was the sauce (garlic sauce) that I chose but I didn’t really like my order. The taste was too plain, it was almost no flavor. I also had fish and chips and it was a bit too greasy.
Price: On the high side.
