(Toronto, Canada) • One night at Mccool’s, a large Irish pub in the middle of downtown Toronto.
Ambiance: This pub is large, it is very live and fun energy, it has several tables including some more private ones if you would like a quieter meal/drink. Very friendly staff and although the place was packed, we got a spot right away. Dim lighting and great atmosphere.
Service: We were there for a drink and a dessert. The girl who served us was very friendly and brought our drinks and dessert fast. For the bill, we had to go look for her to get it as she didn’t come by after checking in on us while I was having my brownie.
Cleanliness: The table, utensils, glass and chairs were clean.
Food wait time: Very fast, seeing that the place was packed.
Food presentation: It was presented ok, nothing fancy about it. Ice cream had crystals on it.
Portion: Double the normal size we typically get! It came in 2 pieces which was a surprise.
Taste: The brownie was great! The ice cream with crystals in it was not that good so I didn’t eat it, the brownie was worth getting it though. My husband had a local brew and he liked it a lot.
