(Ottawa, Canada) • Intimate dining experience in Little Italy with a casual feel.
Ambiance: The place is fairly small with limited seating. There is a rustic warm feel to it with outdoorsy decor. It’s a bit dark inside and it seems narrow. You don’t need to wait to be seated. There is a nice cute little patio in front also.
Service: Even though they hardly greeted us when we arrived the person at the counter was friendly. You go to the counter to order and pay and help yourself, there is no service table.
Cleanliness: The table, utensils, glasses and chairs were clean.
Food wait time: Very long actually… We waited about 45 minutes to get our food even though the place was not full.
Food presentation: Plates looked ok, I liked my yogurt jar with granola, it looked yummy. The blueberry cheesecake though didn’t look too appetizing.
Portion: The plates came with with a fair quantity of food. Enough that you would be satisfied and not too full. The breakfast sandwich my husband got was also of a fair size.
Taste: I found that the sausages were a bit too greasy and toasts were a bit burnt. We had a side of log rollers and although they were tasty they felt like a brick in your stomach as they were very greasy and it seemed they were heated in the microwave. My husband also had a blueberry cheesecake and the sauce tasted too artificial, I won’t be getting it again. My granola and yogurt were ok.
Price: On the high side.
