(Ottawa, Canada) • This must be the best Ethiopian restaurant in Ottawa! With amazing vegan and vegetarian options I was delighted to know that the food is also gluten free. The coffee ceremony is an experience not to be missed where they traditionally roast and brew the beans in front us; the smell of coffee is so inviting even for those who don’t drink coffee, like myself.
Ambiance: Very homey, cozy and beautifully decorated. It’s a small restaurant with the food station in the back by the counter and the tables along the walls.
Service: Excellent! The staff is very kind, friendly, warm and helpful. Though it’s a buffet, they came to check in on us and they were very attentive. At the end of our stay they were fast clearing our table and bringing the bill.
Cleanliness: Our plates, utensils, glasses, chairs and table were clean.
Food wait time: It was at our pace since it’s a buffet.
Food presentation: Very colorful and appetizing.
Portion: It’s a buffet so you eat at will.
Taste: Marvelous! The injera bread has this unique taste that combined with all the dishes on the buffet is just perfect! I tried every selection and a couple were a bit spicy for me but the other ones were amazing, they had different textures too and all very satisfying. I got the vegetarian option and next time I will try the meat too. i also love that it was a gluten-free meal that tasted otherworldly. My husband had coffee and he found it strong and delicious.
Price: Affordable. Truly unbeatable
