Parliamentary Dining Room
Buffet - Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
(Ottawa, Canada) • A wonderful and memorable dinning experience in Ottawa. I got an invitation for a buffet brunch at the Parliamentary Dining Room and everything was just perfect. It’s unfortunate that the restaurant at the Centre Block is now closed due to renovations. I’m sure that the new one will be just as excellent.
Ambiance: ♡♡♡ – After going through all the security check at the entrance of Parliament, and make your way through beautiful and grand halls towards the western end of the building, you come up to portraits of former Prime Ministers of Canada and Justin Trudeau as well, of course. Right next to them is the entrance to the restaurant just a few steps down. The restaurant was fairly big and tastefully decorated, very classy and elegant; the buffet table was also dressed nicely and well displayed.
Service: ♡♡♡ – Executive for sure.
Cleanliness: ♡♡♡
Food wait time: ♡♡♡ – We go serve ourselves, maybe because we were early but there was nobody in front of us, it felt like the buffet was all to ourselves.
Food presentation: ♡♡♡
Portion: ♡♡♡
Taste: ♡♡♡ – I had a taste of practically everything and I absolutely loved the Waldorf Salad, followed by the bacon cheese tomato quiche. They had quite a nice selection for desserts and I certainly think I could have eaten the pumpkin cheesecake the whole day.
Price: $$$.
