(Ottawa, Canada) • I was here before and I wanted to bring my friends and order something different from last time.
Ambiance: We were there early and with reservation for 4, we didn’t need to wait to get a table. The place had already quite a few people inside. There is a vibrant feel and a nice atmosphere. As I mentioned before, the restaurant is small with a clean decor and a few tables.
Service: We got our table right away. We noticed that as the time went by more people were arriving and a lineup started so I’d recommend making a reservation. The waitress was fast bringing the menu and the water. She was very friendly and attentive checking in on us and refilling our glasses of water without us asking. She brought our bills fast after also.
Cleanliness: The table, utensils, glass and chairs were clean.
Food wait time: It took a little longer than expected comparing to the last time I was there but not too much.
Food presentation: Again, as the concept of the restaurant, the food is not very appealing as it comes in a plastic bag, we had our gloves and we couldn’t wait for the experience again.
Portion: The bag is quite big! Depending on what you order you will get a huge portion of meat, otherwise it will be just the weight of the shells.
Taste: My husband had oysters and he liked a lot! My friends had crawfish and they find that there was very little meat. I, unfortunately, asked for chicken and it was awful! It tasted like rubber. We brought it home and cooked and it was better. I know I should have gotten seafood but as I am not a big fan of most of seafood AND chicken was on the menu I gave it a try.
Price: On the high side.
