(Ottawa, Canada) • Can’t wait to have pumpkin scones again! @sconewitch is located downtown, on Elgin with entrance on Gloucester and it’s where I found the best pumpkin scone in town. You order at the counter (the menu is on a board behind it), pay, take a seat and they will bring it to you.
Ambiance: A pretty spacious neat looking place, industrial feel with several tables and a bar top. Nice vibe for sure!
Service: Prompt and efficient. You go to the counter, place your order and pay, then they will bring your food to your table.
Cleanliness: The 2 tables that were available were dirty so we sat at the bar top. It took a while until we saw them cleaning the tables.
Food wait time: Reasonable time for the amount of people that were there.
Food presentation: The sandwich looked delicious!
Portion: Fair size for the scone, small size for the sandwich.
Taste: I had a hot chocolate, pumpkin scone and goat cheese-tomato-pesto sandwich and the bread was a bit too dry which took away the flavour in my opinion. The pumpkin scone though was delicious. Hot chocolate was also good.
Price: On the high side.
