Havana Cafe and Catering

(Ottawa, Canada) • Fancy Cuban food in Ottawa! I was very happy to find this place and try authentic Cuban food. It is located just passed the Glebe on Bank st. It’s a cute little place and the first time we went there we didn’t have reservation and we didn’t want to wait for a table so we left. We decided to go back after with a reservation. Parking on the street.

Ambiance: ♡♡♡ – A cozy feel for sure.  Nice décor. The music was not too loud and it was playing upbeat Cuban songs.
Service: ♡♡♡ –  Prompt and efficient. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. We didn’t have to wait to be seated or for her to bring the menu, the drinks and the bill after. She came to check in on us and refill our glasses.

Food presentation: ♡♡♡ – The plates looked fancy and beautiful!
Portion: ♡♡ – I found that my plate could have been a little bigger but there was a free refill on some sides (beans, rice, etc).
Taste: ♡♡♡ – I ordered Ropa Vieja (shredded beef). The meat was very tender but too  salty for my taste. The dessert was absolutely delicious! My husband found the mojito good and strong.
Price: $$ – Very good value for the money.
