(São Paulo, Brazil) • One of the most popular and loved coffee shop chains in Brazil! It serves hot beverages and snacks and you can find them in almost every city with basically the same clean layout. I find them pretty charming looking.
Ambiance: Casual feel, bright with light colors (mainly green and yellow). There are a few places to sit. You order at the counter and they will bring it to you.
Service: Prompt, efficient and friendly.
Cleanliness: Place is kept very clean.
Food wait time: Very fast.
Food presentation: The hot chocolate came with a small chocolate on the side in a espresso cup. Pretty cute. Dessert looked delicious!
Taste: I found out that ordering a hot chocolate in Brazil is the equivalent of ordering a cup of melted chocolate, I guess that’s why the small cup 🙂 Sugar overdose. Not satisfied with all that sugar I also got a quindim (a coconut custard). Hot chocolate was even sweeter than the quindim (dessert). Both were very sweet, almost sickening to me.
Price: On the high side.
From: Casa do Pão de Queijo
Where: In almost every city in Brazil, it’s like a Tim Horton’s for Canadians 🙂
Parking: Some Casa do Pão de Queijo are located at airports, malls, strip malls that offer parking on site, others offer parking on the street.
